With last year’sappearance at Hamilton Golf and Country Club,Faxon has now played in 11 Bell Canadian Opens,making the cut every time.Canadian Mike Weir has played in 13 BellCanadian Opens. After missing the cut in his firstnine tournaments, Weir has made the cut in hislast four starts. His 10th-place showing in 2003 ishis best finish in the tournament, eclipsing the T22he enjoyed in 2001.At 44 years, 4 months and 3 days, Bob Twaybecame the fourth player over the age of 40 since1970 to win the Bell Canadian Open. Others over40 since 1970—1972, Gay Brewer (40 years, 3months, 20 days), 1986, Bob Murphy (43 years, 4months, 15 days) and 1999, Hal Sutton (41 years,4 months, 14 days).Bob Tway’s win in 2003 came 8 years, 4 monthsand 21 days from his last victory at the 1995 MCIClassic, a span of 233 events.With his victory at the 2003 Bell Canadian Open,Bob Tway won in a playoff for the fourth time inhis career and improved his career playoff record to4-4. His last three <strong>PGA</strong> <strong>TOUR</strong> titles have been wonin playoffs – 1990 Las Vegas Invitational over JohnCook and 1995 MCI Classic over Nolan Henkeand David Frost.It was a week for the experienced player at the2003 Bell Canadian Open.
