The recordis 17 consecutive years with a victory held by JackNicklaus (1962-78) and Arnold Palmer (1955-71).Tiger Woods won his first event of the <strong>TOUR</strong>season for the third time in his career (1997 and2000 Mercedes Championships) and became theall-time money leader at the Buick Invitational with$1,968,600.TIGER WOODSTiger Woods has finished in the top five in sixconsecutive Buick Invitationals including twovictories (2003 and 1999). The other finishes: 1998(T3), 2000 (T2), 2001 (4) and 2002 (T5). He also hasrecorded 17 of his 23 rounds at Torrey Pines in the60s and carries a scoring average of 68.09 at thistournament. His Sunday scoring average on theSouth Course is even better than that at 67.0.Speaking of top-10 finishes, Brad Faxon has nowfinished in the top-10 four times at the BuickInvitational.
