The second most importantsource <strong>of</strong> drinking water in Vojvodina is bottled water— 20 percent. In Sumadija and Western Serbia 11percent <strong>of</strong> the population uses protected wells.Use <strong>of</strong> in-house water treatment is presented in TableWS.2. <strong>Households</strong> were asked <strong>of</strong> ways they may betreating water at home to make it safer to drink —boiling, adding bleach or chlorine, straining through acloth, using a water filter, and using solar disinfectionwere considered as proper methods <strong>of</strong> treatingdrinking water. The table shows water treatment by allhouseholds and the percentage <strong>of</strong> household membersliving in households using unimproved water sourcesbut using appropriate water treatment methods.
