Although a very important step in management<strong>of</strong> lactation and establishment <strong>of</strong> a physical and emotionalrelationship between the baby and the mother, only 10percent <strong>of</strong> babies are breastfed for the first time within onehour <strong>of</strong> birth, while 70 percent <strong>of</strong> children born to mothersfrom Roma settlements start breastfeeding within one day<strong>of</strong> birth.
