Although a very important step in managementof lactation and establishment of a physical and emotionalrelationship between the baby and the mother, only 10percent of babies are breastfed for the first time within onehour of birth, while 70 percent of children born to mothersfrom Roma settlements start breastfeeding within one dayof birth.
