Overall, 61 percent of women living inthe households within the richest quintile are satisfied withlife which is almost double the rate of the poorest quintile, where only 37 percent are satisfied with life. The proportionof women satisfied with life in rural areas is 61 percent.According to the same table (SW.2R), 87 percent ofyoung women from Roma settlements are very orsomewhat happy. For this indicator, differences bywealth quintiles can also be observed ranging from75 percent in the poorest quintile to 93 percent in therichest quintile. Comparing 15–19 year old women to20–24 year old women, the proportion of women whoare very or somewhat happy is the same, 87 percent.Unlike the overall population in Serbia it seems thateducation levels do not influence the happiness ofyoung Roma women.MONITORING THE SITUATION OF CHILDREN AND WOMEN 251
