In orderto protect themselves and to prevent them infectingothers, it is important for individuals to know theirHIV status. Knowledge of one’s status is also a criticalfactor in the decision to seek treatment. Questionsrelated to knowledge among women of a facility forHIV testing and whether they have ever been tested ispresented in Table HA.5. In total, 74 percent of womenknew where to be tested, while only 10 percent haveever been tested.
