Knowledge about HIV Transmission andMisconceptions about HIV/AIDS in Roma SettlementsIn Roma Settlements in Serbia, 72 percent <strong>of</strong> all womenaged 15–49 years have heard <strong>of</strong> AIDS. Less than half(46 percent) <strong>of</strong> them know two ways <strong>of</strong> preventing HIVtransmission. Overall, 53 percent <strong>of</strong> women know <strong>of</strong>having one faithful uninfected sex partner and 52 percentknow <strong>of</strong> using a condom every time, as two ways <strong>of</strong>preventing HIV transmission.
