Theseratios are better known as the Gender Parity Index(GPI). Notice that the ratios included here are obtainedfrom net attendance ratios rather than gross attendanceratios. The latter ratios provide an erroneousdescription of the GPI mainly because in most casesthe majority of over-aged children attending primaryschool tend to be boys.
