Assistance at Delivery in Roma SettlementsAlmost all births from Roma settlements (99.5 percent) inthe two years preceding the MICS survey were deliveredby skilled personnel (Table RH.9R). This percentage isequally high across all background characteristics. Doctorsassisted with the delivery <strong>of</strong> 88 percent <strong>of</strong> births andnurses assisted with 12 percent.In total, 14 percent <strong>of</strong> women from Roma settlementsin Serbia gave birth by Caesarean section.
