2.10 Cooling unit<br />
The arrangement of the cooling unit for<br />
the ZF 10 M, ZF 12 M, ZF 15 M, ZF 15<br />
MA, ZF 15 MIV, ZF 25 M <strong>and</strong> 25 MA (no<br />
cooling is required for ZF 3 M <strong>and</strong> 5 M)<br />
can be seen from Fig.15.<br />
The table below shows the maximum<br />
power output in continuous operation (lever<br />
position A <strong>and</strong> B) usable without cooling.<br />
When these values are exceeded,<br />
a cooling unit is required.<br />
The cooling unit should be connected to<br />
the fresh-water pressure line (external<br />
circuit) of the engine in accordance with<br />
Fig.16. The minimum volume of flow is<br />
10 ltr/min. Retrofitting of the cooling unit<br />
involves no problems (see item 6.15).<br />
2.11 Engine-gearbox compartment<br />
Care should be taken that the engine<br />
gearbox compartment is properly ventilated.<br />
