The Objective of this program is to give a sample project to work on real lifeprojects. These applications help you build a larger more robust application. The objective is not to teach you Dreamweaver concepts but to provide you with areal life scenario and help you create applications using the tools. You can revisethem before you start with the project. It is very essential that a student has a clear understanding of the subject. All faculties are requested that they create small teams of not more than 4 studentsand asks the students to go through the project and solve the assignments as perrequirements given. Working as a team would help them to have different views andapproaches to problem solving.Kindly get back @ eprojects@aptech.ac.in in case of any doubts regarding theapplication or its objectives. In the first phase all the faculties are requested to try out all the problems and thenrevert back if any problems are there. You can mail at eprojects@aptech.ac.inAptech Computer EducationPage 5

Safari, Opera)INTRODUCTIONAn automobile, autocar, motor car or car is a wheeled motor vehicle used fortransporting passengers, which also carries its own engine or motor. Most definitionsof the term specify that automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to haveseating for one to eight people, to typically have four wheels, and to be constructedprincipally for the transport of people rather than goods. The term motorcar has also been used in the context of electrified rail systems todenote a car which functions as a small locomotive but also provides space forpassengers and baggage. These locomotive cars were often used on suburban routesby both interurban and intercity railroad systems. There are approximately 600 million passenger cars worldwide (roughly one car pereleven people).Around the world, there were about 806 million cars and light truckson the road in 2007; the engines of these burn over a billion cubic meters (260billion US gallons) of petrol/gasoline and diesel fuel yearly. The numbers areincreasing rapidly, especially in China and India.History AutomobileThe history of the automobile begins as early as 1769, with the creation of steamengined automobiles capable of human transport. [1] In 1806, the first cars poweredby an internal combustion engine running on fuel gasappeared, appeared, which led to theintroduction in 1885 of the ubiquitous modern gasoline- or petrol-fuelecombustion engine. Cars powered by electric power briefly appeared at the turn ofinternalAptech Computer EducationPage 9

the 20th century, but largely disappeared from use until the turn of the 21st century. The early history of the automobile can be divided into a number of eras, based onthe prevalent means of propulsion. Later periods were defined by trends in exteriorstyling, and size and utility preferences. beings.Electric automobilesIn 1828, Ányos Jedlik, a Hungarian who invented an early type of electric motor, created a tinymodel car powered by his new motor. In 1834, Vermont blacksmith Thomas Davenport, theinventor of the first American DC electrical motor, installed his motor in a small model car, which he operated on a short circular electrified track. In 1835, Professor Sibrandus Stratinghof Groningen, the Netherlands and his assistant Christopher Becker created a small-scaleelectrical car, powered by non-rechargeableprimary cells. In 1838, Scotsman RobertDavidson built an electric locomotive that attained a speed of 4 miles per hour (6 km/h). InEngland, a patent was granted in 1840 for the use ofrail tracks as conductors of electric current, and similar American patents were issued to Lilley and Colten in 1847. Between 1832 and 1839(the exact year is uncertain), Robert Anderson of Scotland invented the first crude electriccarriage, powered by non-rechargeableprimary cells.Seating and body styleMost cars are designed to carry multiple occupants, often with four or five seats.Larger cars can often carry six, seven or more occupants depending in the internalarrange range of seats. Sports cars are often designed with only two seats, and veryoccasionally three seats. The differing needs for passenger capacity and their luggagehas resulted in a large variety of body styles to suit personal requirements such as thesedan/saloon, hatchback, station wagon/estate and Multi-Purpose Vehicle/Minivan..Aptech Computer EducationPage 10

Fuel and propulsion technologiesMost automobiles in use today are propelled by a internal combustion engine, fueled by deflagration of gasoline (also known as petrol) or diesel. Both fuels areknown to cause air pollution and are also blamed for contributing to climate changeand global warming.[28] Rapidly increasing oil prices, concerns about oildependence, tightening environmental laws and restrictions on greenhouse gasemissions are propelling work on alternative power systems for automobiles. Effortsto improve or replace existing technologies include the development of hybridvehicles, plug-in electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles. Vehicles using alternativefuels such as ethanol flexible-fuel fuel vehicles and natural gas vehicles are also gainingpopularity in some countries...Aptech Computer EducationPage 11

The Honda Accord is a series of compact, mid-size and full-size automobilesmanufactured by Honda since 1976, and sold in a majority of automotive marketsthroughout the world. In 1982, the Accord — which had always been manufactured[1] in Sayama, Japan —became the first Japanese car to be produced in the United States when productioncommenced in Marysville, Ohio at Honda's Marysville Auto Plant. In addition, theAccord is, or has been, produced in Nelson, New Zealand, Swindon, England,Guangzhou, China and Ayutthaya, Thailand. The Accord has achieved considerablesuccess, especially in the United States, where it was the best-selling selling Japanese car forfifteen years (1982–97), 97), topping its class in sales in 1991 and 2001, with around tenmillion vehicles sold.[2] Numerous road tests, past and present, rate the Accord asone of the world's most reliable vehicles.[3]Since initiation, Honda has offered several different car body styles and versions ofthe Accord, and often vehicles marketed under the Accord nameplate concurrentlyin different regions differ quite substantially. It debuted in 1976 as a compacthatchback, though this style only lasted through 1981, as the line-up was expanded toinclude a sedan, coupé, and wagon. By the Accord's sixth generation in the 1990s, itevolved into an intermediate vehicle, with one basic platform but with differentbodies and proportions to increase its competitiveness against its rivals in differentinternational markets. For the current generation of the Accord released for theNorth American market in 2008, Honda has again chosen to move the modelfurther up-scale and increase its size.[4] This pushed the Accord sedan from theupper limit of what the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines as amid-size car to just above the lower limit of a full-size car,[5] with the coupe still ratedas a mid-size car.Honda-Civic VTI Orirl:Aptech Computer EducationPage 16

It is produced in both four-wheel drive and front-wheel drive, with availability differing by market.Honda produces the CR-V in Japan and the United Kingdom for worldwidemarkets, and as of 2007, North American CR-Vs are produced in East Liberty,Ohio. Hondaexecutives considered making the CR-V as one of the first vehicles to be produced atHonda's new facility currently finishing construction in Greensburg, Indiana thatopened in fall 2008; however, the facility will initially exclusively produce the Civic, which may free up space in East Liberty for CR-V production from the 2009 modelyear onward. Elsewhere, the CR-V is Honda's smallest SUV other than the relatedElement sold in Canada and the United States, and the HR-V sold in Europe.
