However, at the very last minute, the customerdiscovered that the steam hoses that were also required for the job were not goingto be available in time, and contacted ERIKS Hose Technology for urgent help.SolutionExperts at ERIKS Hose Technology pointed out that the mild steel flanges requested alongwith the hoses in the original unfulfilled order were actually illegal for use on static steamlines.In addition, ERIKS pointed out that the rubber hose the customer was planning to use requiresdraining at every cooling-off period to prevent ‘popcorning’ and the associated risk of burstingand steam loss.
