As the child nears puberty, a gland in thebrain called the pituitary gland increases the secretion of h<strong>or</strong>mones.H<strong>or</strong>monal changes are a time ofaccelerated growth and physicalchanges second only <strong>to</strong> infancy. Thephysical changes baffle students andoften become a cause of concern andanxiety.Methodology :It is difficult <strong>to</strong> knowexactly about the onset of puberty.Students experience changes duringthis phase. These physical changesconsume much of the energy andconcentration of middle schoolstudents. Such distractions cangreatly impact what they learn. It isthe wise teacher who recognizes this, adjusts <strong>to</strong> the students' needsand develops lessons and strategies that take advantage of thesechanges.Teacher can ask the students <strong>to</strong> collect inf<strong>or</strong>mation about physicalmaturation and prepare aproject rep<strong>or</strong>t.
