Gleannloch Pools Are OpenFollow Pool RulesYou must be current on your maintenance fees inorder to receive pool badges. All of Gleannloch Farmspools require a current 2011 pool badge. Badges mustbe visible at all times. Those not cooperating with thisrequirement will be asked to leave the premises.Common sense applies when utilizing the GleannlochFarms pools; follow the posted rules.Parents are responsible for the safety and care of theirchildren at the pools. Lifeguards on duty are not babysittersthey are present to reinforce the rules of the pooland ensure in-water safety.• Parents must closely supervise their children at alltimes. Remember, it only takes seconds for a child todrown. You are responsible and accountable.• Do not dive in areas marked “No Diving.” Nearly90 percent of all spinal injuries occur in the shallowend of the pool.• Breath-holding games can be very dangerous andmay cause cardiac arrhythmia or seizures. Games likewho can hold their breath the longest and swimmingthe longest distance underwater should be avoided atall times.• Don’t allow children to play with or around the maindrain. The main drain suction can be very powerfuland has been known to cause severe injuries and insome cases death.• Define a safe zone for your children where they canalways touch the bottom. One of the most commonsaves a lifeguard must make is when a swimmer straysto an area that is too deep for them to stand.• Access rules to the facility will be strongly enforcedand are the responsibility of each member tounderstand and follow. It is a very awkward anduncomfortable situation for everyone when a lifeguardmust ask a member to go back home to get theappropriate access tag.• Remember that there are several different typesof people who like to use the pool throughout thesummer.
