Lion! Lion!”People were frightened and locked themselves inside, theycame to Guru jee and said “Help us.” When the donkey cameto the outskirts of Anandpur, they took him into a tent. <strong>The</strong>towns people came and thanked Guru jee for his help. <strong>The</strong>next day Guru jee said, “Bhai Daya Singh, take the donkey inthe lion skin and beat him twice, then release him into Anandpuragain.” Once again the towns people asked for help. Onceagain Guru jee ordered that the donkey in the lion skin to behidden in the tent. <strong>The</strong> towns people were ever so gratefulonce again. Next day Guru jee said, “Now destroy half ofthe lion skin and send the donkey in again. <strong>The</strong> donkey wentracing in to the town, people ran screaming ‘Lion! Lion!’ Thistime the donkey stopped running and started eating grass. <strong>The</strong>owner of the donkey went out searching for it and seeing the183
