The service is subject to a fixed monthly charge, sothere are no surprises or unexpected extra costs. Quick, easy and cost-efficient!If you have a Microsoft Windows or an Apple computer, the only thing you need to dois plug in the modem to your computer using the network cable provided (the onewith yellow connectors). The <strong>Internet</strong> connection will start automatically if you havenot changed the default settings of the computer.WLAN is available only if you ordered it specifically.Contents of a <strong>Sonera</strong> <strong>Company</strong> <strong>Internet</strong> subscription delivery:- <strong>Internet</strong> connection with the transmission rate of the customer’s choice- customer modem, two network cables (red and yellow RJ45 connectors)and a grey telephone cable (RJ11 connectors)- SurfManager® management and reporting service- Supplementary services for <strong>Sonera</strong> <strong>Company</strong> <strong>Internet</strong>according to the customer’s choiceThe terminal used for the Yritysinternet service is a Thomson 784 or 789. The customeris sent a terminal with the type of access technology that can be used on thecustomer premises.First check the following:- You have installed the modem• ADSL/VDSL implementation: the Broadbandindicator lamp of the modem flashesgreen when the connection is up.• Extra/Ethernet implementation:the modem does not have a relatedindicator lamp.- The customer device (workstation, networkprinter, server, etc.) connected to LAN, inwhich case the Ethernet indicator lamp is on.PLEASE NOTE! SurfManager ® management and reporting service<strong>Sonera</strong> <strong>Company</strong> <strong>Internet</strong> includes the SurfManager management and reporting service.It allows you to control and view the details of your subscription and order newsupplementary services. In case of any network problems, you may also file a faultreport using the SurfManager service.To be able to use SurfManager, you need the user name and the password you receivedwhen you got the subscription. Static IP addresses:You were provided with one or several static public IP addresses for the device(s)whose MAC address you indicated when you placed your order. There can be a maximumof four static public IP addresses per subscription.If your LAN requires static public IP addresses, please make sure that:- you have ordered one or several static IP addresses from <strong>Sonera</strong>, and- you have provided <strong>Sonera</strong> with the MAC address of the terminal device requiringthe IP address.- The device is set to retrieve TCP/IP network settings automaticallyfrom the DHCP server.Wireless local area network (WLAN) service:WLAN service is available for <strong>Sonera</strong> <strong>Company</strong> <strong>Internet</strong> subscriptions.The WPA2 encryption key is defined in connection with the order.If you ordered WLAN service, it will be automatically activated as you install and connectthe modem. If the WLAN service has not activated within about an hour, please<strong>Sonera</strong>. When WLAN is active, the modem’s Wireless indicator lamp is on. The WLANSSID is <strong>Sonera</strong><strong>Internet</strong>. It is standard and cannot bechanged. The network key can be found in the order confirmation or theSurfManager management and reporting service.
