When we give outthe gospel we are <strong>of</strong>fering dead people life; we are<strong>of</strong>fering poor people riches; we are <strong>of</strong>fering sick peoplehealing; we are <strong>of</strong>fering lost people salvation.3. It is wise to read the tracts first yourself before givingthem out to others. This way you will know exactly whatit says and you can refer to it when you talk to people.Also, by first reading tracts before giving them away youcan see if the tract contains something that is not true orleaves out something important such as repentance.4. Make a commitment to give a tract to people you meetand also perhaps to give out a certain number <strong>of</strong> tractseach week.5. Be flexible and use a variety <strong>of</strong> tracts. Don’t get stuckin a rut. If you live in area where multiple majorlanguages are common spoken, it is wise to carrylanguages in each <strong>of</strong> those languages.6. Always be pleasant and polite. Remember that you area complete stranger to the people you are approaching.Ask kindly, “May I give you something special to read?”or “I have some Good News for You” or “May I give yousomething that has been a blessing in my own life?” Ifthey are busy ask them to put it in their pocket and read itlater.7. Keep in mind that the goal is not merely to give outtracts but to find opportunities to witness to people aboutthe Lord Jesus Christ with the goal <strong>of</strong> leading them tosalvation.
