ULTRANEX ®Ethoxylated AlkylphenolDESCRIPTIONThe ULTRANEX ® NP and ULTRANEX ® DNP lines are mainly comprised of surfactants resultingfrom the reaction of nonylphenol and dinonylphenol with ethylene oxide. Thehydrophobic part of the molecule comes from nonylphenol and dinonylphenol, and thehydrophilic part from the ethylene oxide chain. By increasing the degree of ethoxylation, thehydrophilic nature of the molecule increases.With the increase in the degree of ethoxylation, there is a change in its solubility in water,foaming power, wettability and detergency, making it possible to use these products asemulsifiers, detergents, solubilizers, moisturizers and degreasers in the most diverse sectors.Textile AuxiliariesULTRANEX ® NP can be used as a moisturizing agent, emulsifier, dispersant, detergent anddegreaser. It is generally used in purging and bleaching processes, washing of post-dyeingmaterials, colorings, dyes, treatment of natural, synthetic and cotton fibers. It is also used onformulations for rinsing aids, printing pastes and formulations of highly concentratedelectrolytes.ULTRANEX ® 95 DNF is applied as an emulsifier, detergent for purging and bleaching processes,washing of post-dyeing materials and moisturizer.

The degree of product irritability is considerably reduced with the increase in thedegree of ethoxylation.

ULTRANEX ®Ethoxylated AlkylphenolULTRANEX ® NP 60, ULTRANEX ® NP 95 and ULTRANEX ® NP 100 do not irritate the eyes or skin,as per tests run on rabbits and on human beings. However, in order to handle pure chemicalproducts, use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as PVC gloves, safety goggles andapron.In the event of accidental contact, do the following:• eyes: wash immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes;• skin: wash those parts affected with a great quantity of water and remove contaminatedclothing;• ingestion: seek medical assistance urgently.Store the products in a covered and dry place, far from sources of heat or ignition. In the caseof fire, use carbon gas and dry chemical powder extinguishers.Bulk storage of liquid products (degree of ethoxylation under 12) can be done in carbon steeltanks for periods under three months. Stainless steel or carbon steel tanks lined with epoxy orPVC, or polyester tanks reinforced with fiberglass are more appropriate for preserving thecharacteristics of ULTRANEX® NP products.
