(19-23 July)6thMemetic Africa?The 6th Talent Campus Durban will bring together the creativityof 40 selected filmmakers from 18 different countries in Africa, chosen from over 250submissions, who will take part in a series of masterclasses, workshops and industrynetworking opportunities during the Durban International Film Festival. Supported by theGerman Embassy, the Goethe-Institut and the KZN Department of Economic Developmentand Tourism, Talent Campus Durban, a cooperation with Berlinale’s Talent Campus,encourages filmmakers to enhance their skills, develop collaborations and interface withthe dynamic future of the film industry in Africa and the world. The programme includesDoc Station for documentary filmmakers and Talent Press for film journalists and reviewers.The programme includes three Hands-On-Training programmes with selected Talents– Doc Station, Talent Press and Writer’s Circle. Three Doc Station participants will be partof an advance and in-situ mentorship process that will culminate in them pitching their26 34th Durban International Film Festival
