PRODUCT MARKETING BULLETINSubject:2012 GLEANER S7 Series Combine and HeadersHD SEPARATOR DRIVEThe new separator drive with larger sheaves andpulleys provide greater belt wrap.Rear accelerator drive sheave changes indiameter from 9.3” (237.9 mm) to 11.3” (288.9mm), a 21% increase. The pivot drive sheave increases in diameterfrom 9.9” to 12.7”, an increase of 27.6%.The fan drive sheave increase in diameter from7.95” to 9.65”, a 21% increase. This translates to better reliability with less beltslippage and more power.ACCELERATOR ROLL HARDNESSThe hardness on the accelerator rolls rubber lugincreases by 13%. From a durometer of 70 to 80for longer life due to an increased throughputcapacity.LIGHT WEIGHT MUD SHIELDSThe lighter weight shields allow for easier accessand serviceability. The reduced weight make foreasier handling and removed shield over thehydraulic valve and the design prevents debrisbuild up from occurring.3

PRODUCT MARKETING BULLETINSubject:2012 GLEANER S7 Series Combine and HeadersPOWER FOLD GRAIN TANK EXTENSIONSWith the high demand of the 390 bu (13,743 L)power fold grain tank extensions this is nowstandard equipment. The power fold extensionsproviding a quick, easy, and simple system to gobetween transport and work modes. It takesapproximately twenty seconds for the extensionsto fold into place. The extensions allow forreduced clearance of less than 12.5’ (dependingon tire options) when in transport or storage.LONGER UNLOADER SPOUTThe long spout is now standard equipment. Thespout provides an additional 14” (356 mm) ofreach. The added reach is beneficial with40’ (12.19 m) draper heads or 12 row corn headsfor that extra comfort zone when unloading on thego.4

PRODUCT MARKETING BULLETINSubject:2012 GLEANER S7 Series Combine and HeadersC2100 TERMINAL & TASK CONTROLLERThe C2100 terminal provides a larger 12.1" colortouch display screen, improved touch operation aswell as increased processor capacity. The 1.6GhzMhz processor is 8 times faster and the 1 GBRAM allows for over 30 times more processing;these changes provide quicker navigation. Thelarger internal memory eliminates need to install aSD card before recording data and ensures thatdata will not be lost via bad or unformatted SDcards. Yield data remains on monitor even whenfiles are transferred to a USB.The terminal features a USB and additional inputports. The USB thumb drive allows for a morerobust memory transfer media that is readilyavailable with no size limits.Task Controller version 1.7.1 allows for easier tounderstand icons and setup. Maps are easier viewwith the larger screen as well as split screenfunctionality. These changes enhances machine operation withimproved screen display and control operation viathe touch sensitive screen.7

PRODUCT MARKETING BULLETINSubject:2012 GLEANER S7 Series Combine and HeadersHEAVY DUTY HIGH TORQUE VARIABLE SPEED DRIVEThe high torque variable speed system provides140 constant horsepower which can handle higherload applications such as chopping corn heads. The system features larger drive, and drivenpulleys and belt. To accommodate the largerdrives the system features a redesigned frame, feederhouse, axle as well as shielding. Thissystem provides improved performance andreliability in all conditions. The prior drive was 927 rpm and the new HD is1184 rpm which is 22% faster with Largerbearings. Should have all sizes and bearings areon assemblies. The previous front sheave was18” (457 mm) and the new is 22” (558 mm). Dueto design changes the field installed kit can onlybe retrofitted to 2012 and newer machines.Catalog number (factory install) 71440311(field install - 2012 and newer machines) 700959307GHEAVY DUTY FIXED DRIVE OPTIONThe fixed speed drive feature larger drive anddriven pulleys that provide a higher load capacity. The system features a three groove drive foroptimal power transfer as well as improved beltlife. The horsepower produced at the shaft is 140horsepower. This system has a higher reversingcapability in the case of plugging. The previous drive pulley was 9.5” (240.7 mm)and the new is 11.1” (282 mm). The previousdriven pulley was 16.5” (419 mm) and the new is18” (457 mm) . Even with these pulley changes aswell as a 5” (131 mm) shorter belt the system stillmaintains the same rpm. Due to design changesthe field installed kit can only be retrofitted to 2012and newer machines.Catalog number (factory install) 71450281(field install - 2012 and newer machines) 700959306G8

PRODUCT MARKETING BULLETINSubject:2012 GLEANER S7 Series Combine and HeadersSMARTCOOLINGThe optional SmartCooling system consists of avariable pitch fan with reversing capability. The“Smart” system monitors coolant temperature, intake air temperature, and hydraulic oiltemperature to determine optimum fan pitch. When the intake air temp is less then 68° F (20°C), the fan can go clear to neutral pitch. If theintake temperature is greater than 68° F (20° C),the fan will go to a minimum of 20% pitch. When the separator is engaged, every 15 minutes, the fan will undergo a five second reversal to cleanthe coolers. If the engine air intake temperaturereaches a limit of 176° F (80° C), the fan canreverse up to once every two minutes.Less aggressive pitchIn light duty conditions horsepower can be usedmore effectively and efficiently when harvesting.Preliminary lab tests show that this system canincrease horsepower as well as fuel efficiency incertain conditions. With cooler ambienttemperatures, fan pitch is reduced thus consumingless power and fuel for cooling. The system can be retrofitted to legacy R5 and R6series machines. The major difference will be thatthe fan pitch will be fixed but will feature thereversing system to prevent material buildup fromoccurring on the radiator and rotary screen. Please check the price pages for the catalognumber and pricing.Stay tuned, as the harvest progresses throughsummer and fall we will benchmark this againstthe fix blade design as well as competition.More aggressive pitchCatalog number (factory install) 71452059(field install—2011 S Series)700957916G(field install—2011 & prior R Series) 700958393G9
