This program encourages students to viewthemselves as researchers of teaching and learning andas professionals whose continued growth can best be metthrough inquiry, reflection, and sustained dialogues withpeers. It affords practitioners the opportunity to shareeffective classroom practices while reading, interpreting,and analyzing current research and professional literature.Students must choose and complete course requirementswithin a specified concentration area.Admission RequirementsClarion University’s general admission requirementsapply, with the following additions:• A baccalaureate degree from an acceptablyaccredited college or university.• Undergraduate minimum QPA is 3.0 or above(on a 4.0 scale).• T h r e e f a c u l t y a n d / o r p r o f e s s i o n a lrecommendations; recommendation formsshould document applicant’s potential and/oreffectiveness in the areas of teaching abilityand/or professional performance.• Teacher certification. Submit two copies ofevidence of certification.
