6 <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong> of Pennsylvania<strong>Graduate</strong> Study at<strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong>Admission ProceduresApplication forms and information about graduateprograms may be obtained by writing to:Division of <strong>Graduate</strong> Studies<strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong> of PA108 Carrier Administration Building840 Wood Street, <strong>Clarion</strong>, PA 16214-1232Routine admission policy requires that all graduateapplicants submit:1. a completed application form;2. an official transcript from each college oruniversity attended as an undergraduate orgraduate student (regardless of whether or nota degree was earned). Official transcripts areissued from colleges/universities in sealedenvelopes with the seal of the university andthe signature of the registrar on the outside ofthe envelopes. The transcripts must be sealedby the registrar and remain sealed until theirarrival in the <strong>Graduate</strong> Studies Office. Partialtranscripts are acceptable, but evidence of adegree must be submitted before a student mayenroll in classes;3. at least three current faculty and/or professionalrecommendations on the <strong>Clarion</strong> <strong>University</strong>recommendation forms;*4. a $30 non-refundable application fee; and5. a resume.Some graduate programs require additional informationor procedures.*May not be required of non-degree students.All documents become the property of <strong>Clarion</strong><strong>University</strong> and will not be returned or duplicated for anypurpose outside the university. Each application must befor one program only. An additional complete applicationpacket including the $30 fee must be submitted if youare applying to more than one program. Following onesemester of enrollment, if you want to change to anothergraduate program you must resubmit all applicationmaterials (including $30 fee) as previously outlined.Applications will be reviewed only after all materialshave been received.Admission Application Deadlines forRegular, Provisional, Transient, andNon-Degree AdmissionsThe following deadlines apply to graduate applicants.*Biology applicants: April 1—last date to completean application file for the upcoming fall term andconsideration for graduate assistantships. November 1—last date to complete an application file for the upcomingspring term..Nursing applicants:Early Admission Deadline—Nov. 1;Regular Admission—April 1;RN-MSN Deadline—April 1.Speech Language Pathology applicants: Jan.31—last date to complete an application file for upcomingacademic year.Other programsFall: Aug. 1—last date to complete anSpring:application fileDec. 1—last date to complete anapplication fileSummer: May 1—last date to complete anapplication file for Summer IJune 1—last date to complete anapplication file for Summer II*International students must complete an applicationfile at least four months before the term applicant wishesto begin study.
