Located in Oil City,Venango Campus is scenically situated on 62 acressurrounded by heavily wooded foothills overlooking theAllegheny River. Student apartment housing includesmodern, upscale amenities. A newly renovated studentcenter houses an enhanced and enlarged dining servicesand bookstore, fitness center, gymnasium, auditorium, andStudent Affairs and organizations offices.Venango Campus is appropriate for students whoprefer the atmosphere of a small campus with its capacity forproviding individual attention for students and for permittingand encouraging varied student-initiated activities. AnHonors Program provides an opportunity for an enhancedand stimulating college experience for academically highachievingstudents.Venango Campus offers programs for both part-timeand full-time students. Students may study for one ofeleven associate degrees in administration technology,allied health, arts and sciences, business administration,criminal justice, early childhood education, industrialtechnology, legal business studies, nursing, rehabilitativeservices, and respiratory care.To complete an associate degree, a minimum of 30credit hours must be completed at Clarion University–Venango Campus. Students also may begin any of theuniversity’s bachelor’s degrees at Venango Campus.Complete baccalaureate degrees offered at ClarionUniversity–Venango Campus include radiologic scienceand nursing. Master’s degrees include nursing andbusiness administration.Other programs offered at the Venango Campusinclude eleven one-year certificates and a variety ofcontinuing education courses and seminars.The School of Nursing and Allied Health, which islocated at the Venango Campus, offers an on-line Bachelorof Science in Nursing degree. A Master of Science inNursing degree is offered jointly by Clarion, Edinboro, andSlippery Rock Universities’ Nursing Departments. Coursesfor this master’s program are offered at sites in Clarion,Edinboro, Oil City, Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock, Wexford,and other locations.General Information
