Agora/Market Manual - 51st Thessaloniki IFF-2010Works in ProgressPUNK’S NOT DEADFYROM / Serbia, 2010Production Company: Pank FilmDirector: Vladimir BlazevskiScreenwriter: Vladimir BlazevskiCast: Kamka Tocinovski, Jordan Simonov,Ratka Radmanovic, Toni MihajlovskiProducer: Darko PopovCo-producer:Zarko Dragojevic / Vitagraf - SerbiaProduction Stage: Post-productionDuration: 98 minBudget: 380.000 euroSecured Financing: 86%Looking For: FinancingSYNOPSISThe protagonists of this black comedy are punks who deliberately remained at the margins in muddy times ofFormer Yugoslavia’s Republic of Macedonia transition. The routine of their outsider’s survival is disturbed by anoffer to make a reunion of their one-time cult punk band and play at some bizarre “multi-cultural-happening”,which is to prove the false image of FYROM as a land with relaxed ethnic tensions. This is the first FYROM film treating the problem of increasing nationalism in the country. The film is conceived as a black comedy, somewhere in the limbo-space between road-movie and drama. It isalso supposed to be very documentaristic, a “cinema-verite” feature attempt, and therefore extremely lowbudget, not just as a production model, but even more as an aesthetic approach.Director’s filmography:The Mistery of Wagner’s Tuba, 2009, docDozen Tales About Wine, 2002, docThe Chinese Market, 2001, docContact Person:Darko PopovPank Film:M. +389 78255 867, +389 71255 864daropopov@gmail.comThe Revolution Boulevard, 199276
