The engineer unit is engaged in clearing minefields on the border betweenthe parties at war. Each of the soldiers carries his own burden of war experiences and traumas. Some are proneto self-destruction, others are happy to be alive; some become catatonic, others turn to prayer; some makejokes and some dream about getting back to their families, while others, with hands stained in blood and warpray, try to hide themselves. While searching for mines at an abandon factory they come across a mysteriousman walled in a room.
