At 19 he is forced toleave his country due to political reasons. On board the ship to Cyprus he meets beautiful Leila and falls in lovewith her. He cannot recognize that she is his fiancée Vian. Vian has to leave the Island of Love because she hasanother destination. She is involved in a deadly political game and cannot reveal herself to Azad. Azad followsher and tries to save her at any cost - even if he would be destined not to see her any more. Is love going to bestronger than terrorism?DIRECTORS’ STATEMENTThis is a love story rather than a political thriller. It is a story about ordinary people who want to live theirordinary lives, to love and to be loved but the world they live in does not allow them. It takes place in Iraq (Kurdistan),Lebanon, Cyprus, Turkey, Germany and Bulgaria. It starts 20 years ago and ends in our days. The story istold through the eyes of the protagonist (a Kurd, as is one of the co-writers). Our wish is to focus on an originalpoint of view, rarely heard. The style will be quasi documental and the languages spoken will be the same as inreality. Our successful documentary Private Investigation - on a similar theme - is a basis and reference for thisproject.
