He created comic strips and illustrations for dailypapers and magazines. His first comic story appeared inFrigidaire, Italy’s controversial satirical magazine. He laterpublished Storie Tapine and Vinicio, two tragicomic, eroticseries for Comic Art and Blue. In 2004 his graphic novel Europa,created with Massimo Semerano, was given theMicheluzzi Prize for the best comic script of the year. In2005 he studied Filmmaking at NYU and wrote/directed hisfirst short film, My Name Is Alice, followed by My Wife Is aZombie. In Rome he has been writing sitcoms and a varietyof TV show episodes such as Un Posto al Sole, La Squadra,Incantesimo, Onore e Rispetto, 7 Vite, 7 Vite 2. He currentlyteaches screenwriting at Istituto Europeo di Design of Rome.Menotti, Directorpresent at CrossroadsMarco Marchionni was born in Cortemaggiore, Italy in 1972.In 1994 he studied Computer Science and worked as storyboarder and screenwriter for videogames at SimulmondoS.r.l. in Bologna. In 1999 he graduated in Modern Literatureand moved to Rome, where he attended Fiction MediasetSchool and started working as a scriptwriter and creativeproducer for the Italian TV network Mediaset. In 2005 hestudied Filmmaking at NYU, writing and directing Don’tMiss the Special, a 16mm short film. As a screenwriter, hewrote several sitcom episodes, i.e. Don Luca, Ugo!, Da Grandi,7Vite, 7Vite 2. He was credited as a producer on various TVdramas, such as Caterina e le sue figlie, Il Giudice Mastrangelo2, Ritorno a Rivombrosa, Onore e Rispetto.
