He graduated in 1999 from the Film and TV Directing section of the National Universityof Theatrical and Cinematographic Art, I.L Caragiale, Bucharest. He continued his studies at the University of Bucharest, Communicationand Public Relations Faculty, which he graduated from in 2003. Alex collaborated as a screenwriter with Razvan Radulescu and RaduMuntean for The Paper Will Be Blue, Boogie and Tuesday, After Christmas. The last two films premiered in Cannes and Boogie won anaward for best script at Hamptons IFF in 2008. He also teamed up with Razvan Radulescu for the scripts for Gruber’s Journey andPrinciples of Life.PANOS IOSSIFELISPanos Iossifelis is an associate professor for screenwriting at the Cinema Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Hehas a B.A in History and a diploma in Journalism. Ηe is the writer of the critically acclaimed TV drama series Agria Pedia and alsowrote for the series 3os Nomos, Se eida and 10 Entoli. His feature film script Kanenas was directed by C. Nikoleris in 2010 and othertwo scripts for features films, Live Better (director V. Kehagias) and I epanastasi tou penthous (director V. Grigoropoulos) were fundedby the Greek Film Centre and E.R.T (Greek Radio Television) and are now in pre-production. He also wrote several award winningshort films, among them Prostasia (1st Greek State Award for Best Short Film in 2005) and Narkes (Best short Film Award in 1stGreek Film Festival in Los Angeles, 2007). He is the author of the children books To trigono pou egine paramithi and To paramithi pouden einai. Also, he published a collection of short stories, Skoupidia (odos Panos, 2003). He has been teaching screenwriting at theCinema Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 2005. He is a member of the Scriptwriters’ Guild of Greece.RICHARD KWIETNIOWSKIRichard Kwietniowski is a London based writer-director. He was educated at the University of Kent at Canterbury (Literature andFilm) and at the University of California at Berkley (Visiting Research Scholar). In addition to directing for British television, he hasmade internationally acclaimed short films including Alfalfa and Flames of Passion, and the feature films Love and Death in LongIsland (with John Hurt and Jason Priestley), and Owning Mahowny (with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Minnie Driver). His work hasreceived awards from Cannes and Berlin Film Festivals, the New York Film Critics Circle, the US National Board of Review and theBritish Academy of Film and Television Arts. He regularly teaches directing at British film schools and has contributed to manyEuropean screenwriting initiatives, including Scenario at London’s Institut Francais, ScriptEast in Poland and FadeIn in Hungary. Hisname is easier to pronounce than it looks: Kfee-et-nee-ov-skee.10
