If you are interested inSteel Constructor Membership ofSteel Construction New Zealand,all you need to do is fill in this form.As a newly incorporated society, SCNZ Inc., has five categories of membership:Full Members include Steel Constructors (fabricators & erectors), Steel Distributors and SteelProducers.Associate Members include Steel Detailers, Steel Erectors and Steel Deckers.Professional Members include Engineers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors and students of thoseprofessions.Affiliate Members include construction managers, general contractors, building complianceofficials, and related industry associations and societies, both in New Zealand and overseas.Honorary Members are specially nominated by Members from time to time.Steel Constructors include companies engaged in the fabrication and erection of structuralsteelwork in New Zealand. As Full Members, Steel Constructors have one vote each for everyelectable position available when voting for the election of the Council. There are two positions onthe Council available to Steel Constructors. Two positions are available to Steel Distributors, twoto Steel Producers, and one each to Associate and Professional Members. Members are electedto the Council for a period of two years, with half the elected Council retiring in any given year. Atall General Meetings of SCNZ, each Full Member is entitled to cast one vote on any resolutionput to the meeting. A Full Member may also appoint a proxy.In addition to being in a position to exercise considerable influence over the affairs of theirassociation, Steel Constuctors enjoy opportunities to network and socialise at SCNZ MemberEvents. They also qualify for discounts on SCNZ seminars and aids such as the OnlineEstimating Guide, the Composite Beam Penetration Guide and the Connection Guide. SCNZalso provides free preliminary design service and general steel design support.Our Rules of Incorporation (available on request), require applications for membership to bemade in writing.
