The conditions enumerated below are in addition to the General conditions of contractgiven in “Conditions of contract and instructions to Tenderers of CSL”.2. The tenderers are expected to have inspected the site, read the conditions (includingthe General Conditions specified in clause (1) above) thoroughly and understood theworks in all respects. Clarifications, if any may be obtained from the Office of theGeneral Manager (CE) before the tender is submitted, and if clarifications/details arenot obtained before the tender is submitted, no claim on this account will be admitted.3. The Contractors have to follow the safety; security, labour rules and regulations (inforce during the currency of the contract) of CSL and any violation of the same willattract penal action.4. EMD of Rs.2400/- should be furnished either in the form of DD or by way of fixeddeposit from a scheduled bank drawn in favour of Cochin Shipyard Ltd and should besubmitted in a separate sealed cover kept outside the cover containing the tender.Tenders of only those tenderers who have submitted proof of remittance of EMD asabove will be opened.5. Those tenderers who download the tender documents from the CSL website, the costof tender documents also shall be remitted separately by way of DD and enclosedwith EMD receipt.6. Time of completion of 30 days will be reckoned from 5 th day of the date of workorder, or handing over the site whichever is later.7. The Contractor will have to work round the clock including holidays, if required, tocomplete the work in time, without any extra claim.8. The workers engaged for works should have sufficient knowledge and experience inthe respective fields.

29. The contractor has to take extreme care to see that the existing structures cables,pipes; machines etc. nearby the work site are not damaged or disturbed.10. The contractor should clear the site of debris, rubbish etc. and the waste shall betransported and dumped at places pointed out by the Engineer-in-charge during thecourse of work .11. Tools and plants, and all items brought by the contractor to put on use on the work,should have prior entry permit from CSL security and unauthorised possession of anyundeclared material/equipment will attract penalty.12. If the contractor fails to complete the work in time CSL will arrange the work atcontractor’s risk and cost.13.
