Tags that arenot FRAM have a 100,000 write limit. This memorysegmentation is significant. If you switch to the nextmemory cell after the write limit is reached you get 100,000more writes. The IPC03 tags have a write capacity of2,900,000 if every cell on the tag is used.IPC02 Read Only TagsThese tags have a 40 bit read only code in ROMthat is guaranteed to be unique. They are among theleast expensive tags on the market. All tags comepreprogrammed with fixed data that cannot be changed bythe user.WORM TagsWrite Once Read Many tags are unique in that they have40 bits of read/write memory that can emulate a a readonly IPC02 tag. As an IPC02 they can never be writtenagain and have the same fast read speed. If left in theIPC11 mode, they are a high-speed, 5-byte read/write tag.IDENT I System P tags come in a wide variety of housingstyles and memory organizations. The flat pack style readhead that is unique to IDENT I System P is perfect for tagswith a 16 mm diameter or greater. Smaller tags can beused but the read range achieved may not be desirable forthe application. If smaller tags are required IDENT Controlhas a wide selection of smaller read heads and many moretag options to choose from.High TemperatureMany industrial applications have high- or extendedtemperatureapplications. The Volcano tag is effectiveat temperatures exceeding 350 °F and other extendedtemperature tags withstand 250 °F and 300 °Fenvironments.FRAMThe Ferroelectric RAM tag is unique to IDENT I SystemP. This type of memory allows the tag to be written to anunlimited number of times.
