Because of theirspecial design, they can be flush-mounted in steel oraluminum with little range reduction. The threaded housings are easilyinstalled with the 30 mm mounting tool. This system has sold more tags than any ofthe other systems combined. Series S read heads aredesigned to use the same tags. Series S also offers manynew and advanced features including, higher baud rates,faster read speeds, simultaneous running read heads, castaluminum housing, special high-speed codes, and a new32-bit ROM for IDCs.High-Speed ReadingThe IDC tags can be programmed with a special highspeedcode. This special 24-bit code reads in 5 ms. Thisis the fastest read operation that P+F currently offers.
