RFID SystemsIDENT Control Series PIDENT ControlSeries PRead Heads and Tags• Read only, read/write and WORMtag options• 6 read/write head choices for easymounting• Largest selection of tags from 12mm to 100 mm diameter• High- and extended-temperaturetags availableSeries P is P+F’s most versatile system, designed foruse in factory automation applications. Tags can beembedded flush in any metal, and are available in a varietyof housings. Our economical, heavy-duty commercial tagswithstand high temperatures and washdown environments, and are available at prices that are comparable to lightdutynon-housed tags.High TemperatureMany industrial applications have high- or extendedtemperatureapplications. The Volcano tag is effectiveat temperatures exceeding 350 °F and other extendedtemperature tags withstand 250 °F and 300 °Fenvironments.Low Frequency and Long RangeSeries P includes a 100 mm diameter tag. Combiningthis tag with the F15 large reader will give you the largest, low frequency read range of over 6". These ranges areavailable when the tag is mounted to a nonmetallic surfaceor with a spacer.Common SpecificationsSeries P Read HeadsLED FUNCTIONALITYGreen power, amber tag readOPERATING VOLTAGE20-30 VDC from IDENT ControlTEMPERATURE Working -13ºF to +158ºF (-25ºC to +70ºC)RANGE Storage -13ºF to +185ºF (-25ºC to +85ºC)APPROVALSSeries P TagsOPERATING FREQUENCYDATA TRANSFER RATE125 kHz2 kbit/sFRAMThe Ferroelectric RAM tag is unique to Series P. This typeof memory allows an unlimited number of write operations. This tag also has a large memory capacity of 64 kbits, andis housed in a 58 mm diameter housing for direct mountingon any surface including metal.Memory SegmentationAll Series P tags have 32 bit memory blocks. Tags thatare not FRAM have a 100,000 write limit. This memorysegmentation is significant. If you switch to the nextmemory cell after the write limit is reached you get 100,000more writes. The IPC03 tags have a write capacity of2,900,000 if every cell on the tag is used.IPC02 Read Only TagsThese tags have a 40 bit read only code in ROMthat is guaranteed to be unique. They are among theleast expensive tags on the market. All tags comepreprogrammed with data that cannot be changedby the user.WORM TagsWrite Once Read Many tags are unique in that they have40 bits of read/write memory that can emulate a read onlyIPC02 tag. As an IPC02 they can never be written againand have the same fast read speed. If left in the IPC11mode, they are a high-speed, 5-byte read/write tag.38Pepperl+Fuchs®Inc. • 1600 Enterprise Parkway • Twinsburg, Ohio 44087-2245 • www.am.pepperl-fuchs.comTelephone (330) 486-0001 • FAX (330) 405-4710 • E-Mail: sales@us.pepperl-fuchs.com
