This ISO standard guaranteesthe availability of this technology for years to come. Thehigh frequency transmission of data to and from the tagis ideal for applications requiring a large amount of datatransferred at high speeds.Commercial/Industrial HousingsP+F offers two types of housing styles for Series Q.Industrial applications often use the 30P, 50P, or 58 mmtags for maximum mechanical protection and IP68watertight housings. Commercial applications, or industrialapplications planning to repackage the tag into a newhousing, often don’t require this type of protection. Openloop or supply chain applications may use the tag for onlya few days requiring a disposable version.Common SpecificationsSeries Q Read HeadsLED FUNCTIONALITYGreen power, amber tag readOPERATING VOLTAGEFrom IDENT ControlTEMPERATURE Working -13ºF to +158ºF (-25ºC to +70ºC)RANGE Storage -40ºF to +185ºF (-40ºC to +85ºC)APPROVALSSeries Q TagsOPERATING FREQUENCYDATA TRANSFER RATE13.56 MHz26 kbit/sLow-Cost Adhesive Backed TagsMany industries require high volume disposable tags. Inthis case, a paper or plastic-backed tag with adhesivemay be required. Due to varying applications these tagsare not listed here. Adhesives will vary depending on theapplication, as well as the size, thickness, and backingmaterial. All of these options add up to hundreds oftag variations. Please contact P+F sales support withapplication specifics for assistance in selecting the correcttags.Operating RangeRead ranges for Series Q are comparable to similarlysized low-frequency read heads. Mounting the tag tometal, however, may reduce the range by more than 50%.Using a spacer when mounting the tag on metal is usuallyrequired; the thicker the spacer, the larger the read range.Series Q offers a read head in an F100 housing, our largestavailable. The F100 housing supplies a read/write range ofup to 1 foot in nonmetallic applications.32Pepperl+Fuchs®<strong>Inc</strong>. • 1600 Enterprise Parkway • Twinsburg, Ohio 44087-2245 • www.am.pepperl-fuchs.comTelephone (330) 486-0001 • FAX (330) 405-4710 • E-Mail: sales@us.pepperl-fuchs.com
