Commercial applications, or industrialapplications planning to repackage the tag into a newhousing, often don’t require this type of protection. Mounting the tag tometal, however, may reduce the range by more than 50%.Using a spacer when mounting the tag on metal is usuallyrequired; the thicker the spacer, the larger the read range.Series Q offers a read head in an F100 housing, our largestavailable.
