The MAC340-INC providesan image area of 32 mm x 24 mm and the depth of focusincreases to 10 mm. Other specifications remain thesame, with the exception of minimum module size, whichincreases to 0.4 mm.MAC340-HDHigh-resolution barcode imagerFor small codes we offer a high-density unit. The MAC340-HD increases the optical magnification to facilitate reliablehigh-speed reading of very small symbologies. Theminimum module side of this high-resolution reader isdecreased from 0.17 mm to 0.10 mm. Commensurate withthe increased magnification, the field of view is reduced to11 mm x 8 mm and depth of focus is reduced +/-5 mm.MAC340-OCR/MAC344-OCROptical Character RecognitionLike the MAC 340 and the MAC344, the MAC340-OCRand the MAC344-OCR are effective solutions for opticalcharacter recognition. While the MAC340-OCR is aWiring Diagramssingle-box unit, the MAC344-OCR is a space-savingtwo-piece design. Optics and illumination are attachedvia a 1.25 m cable to the electronic evaluation board ina separate housing. Only a 24 VDC power supply and atrigger are necessary to make each unit functional.Any font can be memorized and stored in the internalmemory. The powerful recognition software enables theimager to handle scaling of characters. This also makesdifficult adjustment and calibration obsolete.The DSP allows fast recognition of machine-markedcharacters and symbols. The evaluation time depends onnumber and size. The dimensions of the search window,the size of the stored font, as well as the number of activewindows must also be taken in account.The MAC340/344-OCR can be used in many applications.Up to 100 windows can be used with their individuallyassigned font and reading parameters.
