Fixed-MountImagersOverview..................................................115ODT-MAC333.................................... 116-119ODT-MAC340/ODT-MAC344............. 120-125Network Adapters............................ 126-130Fixed-Mount ImagersOverviewSelection of our fixed readers can be simplified dependingon the application. Currently, we are offering several linesof stationary mount readers. These are:• ODT-MAC333 – where the codes are stationary• ODT-MAC340 & ODT-MAC344 – for those high-speedapplications where marked products must be readquicklyIn situations where the barcode is not moving or movingslowly the choice is the MAC333. It is our most inexpensivefixed mount imager and has the capability to decodemost all symbology. In fact, its range is so extensive, itcan read over 35 different barcode standards. We updateour decoders regularly, so check with our ApplicationsEngineering staff if you don’t see your symbology listed inthe specifications section of this catalog. Our line of high-speed fixed readers coupled withdifferent firmware and optics covers an extensive arrayof applications. Fundamentally, there are two differentseries of products, the MAC340 and the MAC344. At thefunctional level they are identical, however, fit and formvary in the two series. While the MAC340 is a single-boxunit, the MAC344 is a space-saving two-piece design, which incorporates optics and illumination into one housingand the decoding electronics in a second enclosure thatcan be mounted remotely where space is less critical. Both units are capable of reading ECC200 Data Matrixcodes, Pharmacode, 39 and I 2 of 5 codes. Both areconfigurable at the factory with optics to permit highresolutionimaging of extremely small 2-D codes and tofacilitate larger fields of view, a lower resolution option. On the firmware side, both series accept OCR firmwarefor optical character recognition. While available for all ofthe units, OCR makes most sense in the large field of viewunit and, therefore, is the only unit actually called out inthe catalog.
