Adhesives used to bondplastic foils to absorbent substrates for automatic packaging, bookbinding, automatic lamination ofpaper and board with plastic and metal foils.SPECIFIC PROPERTIESVINAVIL EVA 09 can be modified by adding plasticizers ( dibutiphtalate) or coalescing agents(diethylene glycol monobutyl ether acetate). The addition of such additives can lead to an increased inviscosity of the emulsion and improves at low temperature adhesion at low temperature without notablylowering heat and creep resistance.VINAVIL EVA 09 can be formulated with a large amount of mineralfillers such as calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate dihydrate without significant performancereductions.COMPATIBILITYVINAVIL EVA 09 is compatible with the components usually employed in vinyl-ethylene copolymersbased aqueous adhesives such as:- acrylic and cellulosic thickeners- plasticizers such as benzoic acid esters and polymeric esters, triacetin- tackifiers, such as natural and modified rosin, coumarone-indene, terpene and hydrocarbon resins.- natural rubber latex, after addition of ammonia (to approx. 9 pH), to the VINAVIL EVA 09.VINAVIL EVA 09 is also compatible with most VINAVIL dispersions; however it is advisable to checkVINAVIL EVA 09 compatibility with the other component to be used.Data, information and suggestions are provided for guidance purpose only.
