INFORMATIONThis degree aims at <strong>the</strong> advancement <strong>of</strong> political expertise and <strong>the</strong>development <strong>of</strong> political management orientated skills in an environment<strong>of</strong> rapid change (transformation) in order to comply with <strong>the</strong> needs interms <strong>of</strong> institutional capacity building, leadership development, and <strong>the</strong>promotion <strong>of</strong> a value system which complements good governance andforms <strong>the</strong> basis <strong>of</strong> democratic government.2. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS(a) The institutional rules <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> university regarding admission for<strong>the</strong> masters degree (General Regulation A80) are applicable foradmission to this degree.(b) Seeing that only a limited number <strong>of</strong> students per year will beadmitted, students are subjected to a selection process whereacademic merits and/or work experience play an importantrole.(c) All applicants will be evaluated by <strong>the</strong> programme committeefor <strong>the</strong> minimum admission requirements. (A B-degree orequivalent qualification are applicable.)(d) It is also expected from students to submit a motivation foradmission to <strong>the</strong> course.3. METHOD OF INSTRUCTIONDistance education combined with residential instruction is applicablehere.
