Admission is subject to departmental approval on the basis of themaintenance of high academic standards at the undergraduate and/orhonours level(s) and, in cases where more than two years have elapsedsince the awarding of the preliminary qualification, to selection criteriadetermined by the head of department. A final mark (pass mark) of atleast 60% in KRM728 is required to be admitted to the second year(KRM791) of the structured degree.2. EXIT LEVELStudents who complete the first year of the structured degree but whodo not go on to complete the second year, or who do not successfullycomplete the mini-dissertation, or who do not obtain a final mark (passmark) of at least 60% in KRM728, may exit with a B.A. Hons.(Criminology).3. CURRICULUM AND EXAMINATION (256 credits)Students must choose one of the options below, and depending on theirchoice they are assessed either by dissertation or by the examination ofcourse work [with three three-hour examinations (the first year) and a minidissertation(the second year)].4.
