ADMISSION TO THE DEGREE1.1 To be admitted to the course in Art History a candidate musthave one of the following qualifications:- A B.A. Honours in Art History- Any appropriate B.A. Honours qualification, subject topreliminary examination and/or additional study, to bedecided in consultation with the Head of Department.1.2 To be admitted to the course in Visual Culture Studies acandidate must have one of the following qualifications:- A B.A. Honours in Visual Culture Studies- An interdisciplinary B.A. Honours (Culture Studies) withelective courses in Visual Culture Studies- Any appropriate B.A. Honours qualification, subject topreliminary examination and/or additional study, to bedecided in consultation with the Head of Department.1.3 Candidates may register for the degree only after the Head ofDepartment has approved their admission and theircurriculum.2. EXAMINATIONDepending on which option students choose below, they are examinedeither by dissertation, or on two publishable research articles, or by aminor research project and written examinations.3.
