Criminology Course code KRM900Psychology Course code SIL900Sociology Course code SOS900As far as the Ph.D. degree in Psychology is concerned, a thesis(SIL900) or at least five publishable articles (SIL905) is required; or elsethe following curriculum with course work may be taken:"Child Psychology and Related Fields".INFORMATIONThis course is aimed at advanced scientific training, so that aftersuccessful completion, the student will be able to act as specialist in afield of Psychology.Due to the limited number of candidates that can be admitted to doctoralstudies, selection takes place. A student will be considered for selectionif he/she has already obtained a master's degree in Psychology.Applications for selection and admission must be submitted on theprescribed form.Interested students must submit their master's degree syllabuses to thedepartmental head for approval.The course extends over at least three years for part-time students andat least two years for full-time students. Of students will be expected toattend training courses in the department for specified periods of time.Application forms and further information may be obtained from theHead, Department of Psychology, UFS.2.
