ADMISSION(a) The general regulations with respect to admission to master'sdegrees apply mutatis mutandis to this degree.(b) Students of this university, who have not interrupted theirstudies, must apply for admission to the head of thedepartment concerned.(c) Student who interrupted their studies and students from otheruniversities must apply for admission directly to thedepartment of Academic Student Services. Admission issubject to departmental approval and is granted on the basisof satisfactory academic performance at Honours/fourth yearlevel.2. A dissertation (SIL700) or at least two publishable artikels(SIL712) on an approved topic. The prescribed application form forselection is available from the head of department on request.OR3. Research methodology in PsychologyCURRICULUMSLN701 Capita selecta from speciality fieldSLN702 Advanced Research MethodologySLN700 A dissertation of limited scope on an approved topic.EXPLANATIONThe course is aimed at preparing students, in a structured manner, toinitiate, complete and write up research of high quality on topical issues.Applications for selection on the prescribed form must reach the head ofdepartment before 15 November of the year preceding first registration.Instruction with a view to prepare for the examinations the dissertationtakes the form of lectures, assignments and seminars.
