You may self rate yourself until a levelis established by play.USTA Atlanta offers a Mixed Doubles League in the spring and fall.USTA Mixed Doubles offers a fun, competitive league at the local,state and sectional level, culminating in a regional Championship withthe top teams from the Caribbean, Florida and Southern Sections.USTA League Mixed Doubles allows players of different NTRP levels toplay together, encouraging participants to form teams with theirfriends, family and co-workers. Players without an NTRP rating arepermitted to self-rate. If a participant is actively playing in the USTALeague Atlanta or Senior Program, then the Mixed Doubles match resultsdo not affect the person’s rating.USTA Atlanta continues to offer more opportunities for active adults40 years and older to continue playing the sport they love. Have fun, make friends, stay healthy and competein one or more of our USTA League programs.Adults:Men, Women and Senior Men (55+ years old) have springand fall seasons.Senior Men (45+ years old) have a summer session.Mixed Doubles leagues have winter and summer seasons.Juniors: Junior teams have spring and fall seasons.The Atlanta Lawn <strong>Tennis</strong> Association was first registered withThe United States Lawn <strong>Tennis</strong> Association in 1934. Thepurpose of the organization at that time was to promote tennistournaments and junior tennis development in the Atlantaarea.ALTA started league play in 1971 with less than 1,000members. It grew to almost 10,000 in 1975, 35,000 in 1982,over 51,000 in 1988 and 17,000 in 1992. Today ALTA hasapproximately 90,000 members. It has evolved from a smallgroup of volunteers to a large non-profit corporation licensedby the State of Georgia and recognized by tennis playersaround the world.All participants must be current USTA members and pay a league feefor each season.
