It began with a group of friends out for a ride and hasevolved into a full-throttle 40,000-plus visitor event boasting amega fundraiser, live music, parade of hundreds, street dancesand more. 10Riding for better livesMDA takes onmuscle-damagingdiseasesBy Abigail BostwickSpecial for the <strong>Tomahawk</strong> <strong>Leader</strong>Riders at the <strong>Tomahawk</strong> Fall Ride have saddled-up for areason: to fight against and find cures for muscular dystrophy.The Ride’s longtime beneficiary is the Muscular DystrophyAssociation (MDA), which has been manning events at SARAPark for several years now.Last year, $134,000 was raised to benefit MDA throughSARA Park events and the Harley-Davidson Open Houseevents. Over its history, well over $1 million has been brought in.All events held at SARA Park directly benefit MDA. Theybegin the morning of Friday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m., and end onSaturday, Sept. 14.
