Energy/Shield ES35 & ES36Energy/Shield ES35 & ES36The RangeThe Energy/Shield ES35 & ES36range of Flanged dampers aresuitable for air conditioning andventilation systems requiring aircontrol and low closed blade leakagecharacteristics, for low / mediumpressure and velocity systems. Theseaerodynamic precise movementopposed blade (parallel bladeoptional) dampers can be either fittedwith manual, electric, pneumatic orextended spindle controls.Application ParametersEnergy/Shield Flanged ES35 andES36 to maximum width (2080mm)and height (1000mm) dimensions canbe used where the operating totalsystem pressure is up to 1000 Paand duct velocities of 12m/s.Energy/Shield ES35 and ES36Flanged dampers are designed forapplications in normal dry filtered airsystems. When required formodulating function, or if exposed tofresh air intakes and/or inclementconditions, the dampers should besubject to a planned inspectionprogramme. Any application involvingcorrosive and/or hostile environmentalconditions (e.g. swimming pools) mayinvalidate our warranty and should bereferred to Actionair Sales Office.Blade FeaturesControl OptionsSeries ES35Series ES35 for air control havingaerodynamic triple – vee 1.6mm thickx 157mm wide galvanised steelblades. Housed in a 1.2mm thick x160mm deep galvanised steel framewith 40mm flanges, with pre-punchedcorner holes to suit proprietary ductflanges, suitable for systems with atemperature range of –40°C to+116°C. Please note actuators: thismay exceed certain actuatortemperature ranges.Series ES36Series ES36 are similar to that of theES35 except having stainless steelside gasketting and synthetic bladeseals, resulting in low closed bladeleakage. Also the operatingtemperature range is -40°C to +70°C.Please note actuators: this mayexceed certain actuator temperatureranges.Blade Drive MechanismBlade Drive Mechanism is mountedout of the airstream to minimisepressure and noise generation, bladeaxles are 11.1mm hexagonal zincplated steel. Energy/Shield ES35 & ES36Casing FeaturesThe flanged damper casing having asingle penetration for the drivecontrol shaft makes these damperssuitable for inclusion into airdistribution systems, casing leakageconforms to DW144 Class C up to1000 Pa. The casing consists of1.2mm thick x 160mm deepgalvanised steel frame with 40mmflanges pre-punched corner holes tosuit proprietary duct flanges.DimensionsSingle Drive ArrangementDampers with widths from 200mm -2080mm and heights from 200mm -1000mm will be supplied with asingle drive. Dampers having awidth dimension from 200mm -1200mm will be supplied without amullion. Dampers having width from1201mm - 2080mm will be suppliedwith a single drive centre mullion,factory fitted joining strips and bladedrive coupling.Multiple Width ConfigurationThese are available as two singleunits, up to a maximum of 4240mmwide and are driven from each side.these multiple width arrangementsare supplied with joining strips(galvanised 1.2mm thick x 75mmwide) for on site fixing by others. Forlarge assemblies additional supportmay be required.
