Thermal InsulationProtection THOR-SIL cloth is a flexible refractory textile materialwith excellent insulation characteristics for hightemperatureapplications.Refractory silica in textile form insulationTHOR-SIL textiles are continuous filament, amorphoussilica products, with the thermal performance of arefractory material. The fiber does not melt or vaporizeuntil temperatures exceed 3100 o F (1704 o C).THOR-SIL textile cloth will operate continuously attemperatures to 1800 o F (982 o C) with little or no changein properties. When temperatures are elevated beyond1800 o F (982 o C), some embrittlement occurs.
