The Challenge:The <strong>Port</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Durban</strong> will run out <strong>of</strong> container capacity in 2010and will not cope with the projected container traffic increase.It needs to grow and support economic growth in SouthAfrica through its role in the movement <strong>of</strong> high value goods.<strong>Transnet</strong>’s Response:Consider expanding container handling facilities in theBayhead area.3
