Two nozzle types can beselected depending on customer requirements: a bollard pull nozzle ora nozzle optimised for free-sailing.Wärtsilä Compact Thrusters (LCT) are a proven and compactsolution for tugs and similar vessels. The LCT series is graduallybeing replaced by thrusters from the WST series, which have beenintroduced at the end of 2013.Wärtsilä Retractable ThrustersWärtsilä Modular Thrusters (LMT) with a modular and flexible designare the basis for the retractable thrusters up to 4500 kW.Wärtsilä Underwater Mountable ThrustersThe Wärtsilä underwater mountable thrusters with designation WSTunderwater mountable series have been introduced in 2013. The WSTunderwater mountable thrusters come with several added features,such as an increased power range, an 8° tilted propeller gearbox,and the Wärtsilä Thruster Nozzle providing a superior and reliable DPperformance. The underwater mountable thrusters from LMT seriesare available for the lower part of the power range.Special thruster designsThe LMT thrusters are also used in special thruster designs, suchas inboard demountable thrusters or Z-drive configurations above3000 kW. The LMT series can be applied in a wide range of offshoreapplications.138
