Health servicesFree NHS dental treatmentYou are eligible for free treatment from your dentist if youare:• under 18 years old• aged 18 and in full-time education• pregnant or have had a baby in the 12 months beforetreatment starts• an NHS in-patient and the treatment is carried out bythe hospital dentist• an NHS hospital dental service out-patient (there may bea charge for dentures and bridges)• you or your partner is getting Income Support, incomebased Jobseeker’s Allowance or Pension CreditGuarantee Credit• you are named on or entitled to an NHS tax creditexemption certificate• you are named on a valid HC2 certificate.If you have a valid HC3 certificate you may qualify forsome help with dental costs but you will also have to paytowards your dental costs.You will need an HC1 form to make a claim for eitherpartial (HC3) of full (HC2) NHS dental costs.
