In addition,dedicated on-mine training facilities, both undergroundand on surface, were fully established. Two fatalitiesoccurred at the mine during 2002.M I N I N GThe mine continued to increase development andimprove mining efficiencies during 2002, despite difficultgeological conditions at South Shaft. Tons milled fromunderground operations were increased by 81,9% to1,85 million tons.
